Northbrook is a village located in Cook County, Illinois, United States, approximately 14 miles northwest of Chicago's downtown Loop. Northbrook is home to a number of well-regarded public schools, as well as several private schools. The village is also home to Northbrook Court, a large shopping mall, and the Chicago campus of the DeVry University. Northbrook has a number of parks and recreational facilities, including the Northbrook Sports Center, which features an ice rink, swimming pool, and fitness center. The village is served by the Northbrook Park District, which operates a number of community centers, sports fields, and other facilities.
